Strong Waves

On Monday high waves made swimming difficult but the blowing sand made the beach uncomfortable. Vincent had to swim in the pool.

Hawaii Baby

Vincent had really gotten into being in Hawaii.

Sunk in the Sand

Vincent got sunk into the sand on Sunday afternoon. In fact Vincent was covered in the fine Maui sand the entire time we were in Maui.

Maui Critters

Some birds of Maui and even a quick moving mongoose.

Sunday: Lahaina

Sunday was a shopping day for Luisa at Lahaina. Vincent and I came along for the experience and we enjoyed strolling in the parks and lunch on the waterfront.

The Banyan Tree

This banyan tree in Lahaina was planted in 1873 and still provides a relaxing place to get out of the hot sun.

Vincent was Confused.

Vincent pointed at the store and said "Aunty Patty, Aunty Patty". Clearly he was confused.

On the Beach

Vincent plays on the beach as the sun is about to go down. Our condo was full of sand as it was impossible to wash it all off him.

Maui Sunset V

Everyday a new show.

Playing Ball

Saturday: Snorkeling in Kapalua

We were told by our friends that the snorkeling was good in Kaanapali so we headed off on Saturday. The waves were high in Kaanapali so we headed north and found this bay behind the reef in Kapalua. There is a two mile waterfront trail along the beach. Dad went snorkeling while Luisa and Vincent enjoyed the beach in front of the Ritz Carleton Hotel. The snorkeling was better than the boat trip to Molokini.

The Blue Pacific

On the way back we stopped at the lookout to gaze over the blue pacific and to wonder just how far away the next land is.
