Spring 2011: Tulips

The sunlight shining through the leaves always highlights the great colours of the tulips. Not quite the same variety as last year they still look great. The squirrels only let them be for one winter as when summer comes they are moved who knows where.

This little srub produces yellow flowers every spring. Since the post last spring we have recieved many suggestions as to what it is but we still do not have a definitive identification.

Last Flowers of Autumn

Here are some of the last flowers still blooming this autumn. The only ones I know are the coneflowers.

We thought this autumn flower was a weed. Perhaps it is but the flowers are nice.

Here we have a white flower from Luisa's garden.

Luisa's Daisies

Luisa's daisies add some colour to the beach backyard. Luisa is the only one here who can grow them as all the ones that dad planted have bit the dust. I am not sure what variety these are but they are nice.

Cottage Wildflowers

Luisa took these pictures of wildflowers at the cottage. We are not sure what they are so I guess a guidebook would be good for Christmas.
