All Packed Up

After the cottage and camping trip is time to pack and head off home. Vincent shared his space with all the camping and cottage stuff.

Monday at the Campground

A holiday Monday at the campground with Mike and Patty; Dave, Jan and Michael. Vincent loved to hear all those West Indian stories. Yes, that is Luisa in lake Ontario!

By the Lake

Monday was spent at the hogie freee day use area soaking up the sun and playing by the lake. Throwing rocks into the water just comes naturally to Vincent.

Lots of Fun

Vincent has had lots of fun with the coloured balls that Auntie Patty gave him at the campsite. Dad thinks he can find one in every room and in every corner of the house.

The Campsites

Bennewitz's: Jan, Dave and Michael.

Benson's: Patty, Mike, Melanie, Jasmin and Dave.

Bowen's: Beth, Chris and Jeff.

Bowen's: Janice and Chris.

The groups home away from home. The Bennewitz family shared their site with poison ivy which Dave promptly walked through. As for us we shared with Marc and Barbara, but I forgot to take the picture. Thanks to Marc and Barbara for sharing their site.

First Time in a Tent

The camping trip was Vincents first time in a tent. On the first night he mistook the shadows of the campfire on the tent for water heading for the tent, but by the second night it was all fun.

Campfire

One of the highlights of the camping trip is spending the evening around the campfire. After a day of fun some relaxation and a few refreshing drinks and some entertainment from the designated crooner some of us drift off to dreamland quicker than others.

Presquile Beach

We spent the afternoon at hogie beach. Vincent and Jasmin loved sitting in the sand and running in the water.

Helping with the Dishes

Camping is much easier when Vincent helps with the dishes.

Boardwalk Trail

At the park we took the time to walk the boardwalk trail. Vincent enjoyed running along the boardwalk but mom was a little anxious he would tumble over the edge. Luckily there were not too many mosquitos, maybe the water bugs eat them.

Cottonwood Grove

The boardwalk trail led to a cottonwood grove. Just beyond was a well worn tree that Vincent used to sit and relax before continuing on his walk.
