Riding Around the Park

Vincent takes his bicycle for a spin around the Park. He still requires a bit of pushing to get going. Near the gate on the far side of the park Vincent had his first accident. Luckily it was minor and required only a hug and kiss to the hand and then he was back on his way again.

To give you an idea what the countryside looks like here are a few photographs taken along the highway leading from Cajamarca to Chugur. We picked up a couple of hitchikers for the last few kilometers to Chugur.

This is the local cheese produced in Chugur. It is quite mild but a touch on the salty side.

I took an overnight trip to Cajamarca to visit the Sinchao property. Here are some scenes photographed while driving around the town. Settlements on the site date back 2000 years.
